i can't explain you, so i ain't even gon' try

It's been a busy elefanten-week.

* Elefantkvinnan released two new cds.

Anne Laplantine & Playdo. They were released on Thursday evening at Nefertiti/iDEAL. The Anne Laplantine cd contains one song called "We" and a gif-animation called "Night and days". The Playdo cd is a live recording that was recorded during the Playdo-show this Thursday and was then released about an hour after the show. Two incredible releases. Read more about the night at Nefertiti here.

* Me and Gustav went to a few shows.
I don't really feel like getting into detail, but Fennesz proved that trip hop ain't dead and it was all good. In fact, it was amazing. He also played his best riff for about 15 minutes.
Fläskvartetten was CRAP. Crap.

Spire Live was quite gubbigt, but Philip Jeck was great. His appearance was So British and his music proved to be equally So British in a very good way. Leif Elggren and Henrik Rylander played "Chamber Music" in the "back room" (give me a better word) and it was the definite "WOW" of the evening. Wow.

And while we're on the subject of wow; Playdo. Even better than the first time I saw them, they are without a doubt one of the most exciting groups right now. I am so happy to be able to witness this. And what about Tom Bugs! Yeah! Brilliant music, hilarious but subtle stage persona, top human being! Watch out!

BIRCHVILLE CAT MOTEL! (Yeah!)

A good week.
And to top it off: Lisa Nordström of Playdo/Midaircondo posing the question of the century in an otherwise quite tired panel discussion this Saturday. GOOD stuff.
